Do this. And Lose Weight In Swinton.

You probably know there is more than one way to get in shape, right?

Otherwise there wouldn’t be tons of different diets and programmes out there.

If there was only ONE way to do it, there would just be one.

Well, I should probably clarify.

There is only one way to actually DO it, but multiple methods and implementation strategies.

See, it comes down to effective exercise and supportive nutrition to get results. Thats it.

And there are different ways of approaching that. Because there isn’t a ‘one size fits all plan’ that everybody could just use to get results.

Because we all respond to things differently. Both physiologically (<— spell check went crazy at me for that initially) and also mentally.

And although there may be many different methods, there are only very FEW principles you need to follow.

And you don’t even have to get everything perfect, not unless you’re looking to get to a super low body fat level where you can see every single muscle poking out and have like 0% body fat. Obviously then you would need to get super strict. But thats not really the aim, right?

Anyway, the main thing I want to get across is that I don’t want you to get overwhelmed.

THE best way to get results is by keeping it simple.

Why?

Coz it means you will likely have a much higher level of adherence (another posh word, I’m on a roll).

And its really the simple things that work the best. But often people think that in order to get in shape they have to discover this magic formula thats really complex and difficult to follow.

When in reality, the simple things done well, and consistently will always get results over and over again. While everybody else is pissing around with other stuff like boring meals, 200 calories a day, shakes, pills and other faddy things that is just a waste of time and money.

You just need to enjoy your nutrition and training. And dial in the simple things.

There was blood everywhere..

There was blood everywhere..

On Saturday I went giving blood for the first time.

No idea why its taken me so long but im on it now.

There was blood in little bags everywhere.

I am pretty certain they are not using it for the NHS though.

I am convinced there is some sort of secret criminal vampire empire running the show and drinking it all or something.

Anyway, I was kinda shitting myself.

I haven’t got a phobia of needles or anything, but having needles jabbed into my vein and experiencing some arm pain is not my idea of fun.

I wanted to talk myself out of it, but didn’t.

Why?

Because it would have been more painful for me to NOT do it.

Let me say that again.

The pain of doing it would have been LESS than pain of NOT doing it.

And I don’t just mean physical pain.

Lemme explain.

Sure it might bring a little pain in my arm giving blood, but the pain of not doing it i.e. emotional pain would have been more.

I would have kicked myself for weeks. And felt pissed off.

So I just went and did it. Turns out it was completely fine and hardly felt anything at all.

And this is the exact reason some people get in shape and others don’t.

Some people associate more ‘pain’ with following a training and nutrition plan than not having the results they want.

Look, whatever you do you’re gonna experience some sort of pain.

The ‘pain’ you experience when it comes to getting in shape may be from giving up time, sometimes physical soreness when you first start, financial pain coz’ it costs money to do a programme.

And for some people that pain is BIGGER than the pain of not getting the results they want.

Getting healthier, leaner, more confident, more toned, being able to wear the clothes you want.

In order for you to get in shape…

The pain of not having the body you want needs to be bigger than the pain of doing the stuff you need to do in order to get it.

Make sense?

So what would you find more painful?..

Doing the stuff you need to do to get in shape?

Or not having the body you want and staying where you are right now?

Clothes shopping

Been talking to a lot of women recently about their goals.

Its crazy how much a lot of people hate their body.

And the stuff it stops them doing.

The thing that crops up a LOT is the topic of clothes.

People saying that they hate that their current body stops them getting in their current clothes properly or stops them going out shopping to buy clothes they want.

Kinda stuck in this crazy land.

Where current clothes don’t fit right because of weight gain but don’t want to buy new ones because its kinda like admitting defeat and realising that you gained weight.

And if that DID happen, any clothes that are bought are not really to make you look or feel sexy, but to “hide and cover up the fatty bits”.

Seriously, I hear that from 75% of the people I talk to.

The exact same scenario.

Thing is though, in order to get results and make a change you NEED stuff like this.

You need to have them feelings.

See, most people get real results not by wanting to move TOWARDS pleasure i.e. getting a toned body..

But by wanting to move AWAY from pain i.e. how they feel right now and the things it stops them doing.

The moving away from pain will always result in better results than moving towards pleasure.

In my opinion using both emotions is the key.

That changes you from is a state of ‘kinda wanting results’… to being 100% committed to change.

Make sense?

You need to not only tap into the specific goals you want to achieve, but also how you feel now and why you want to move away from that.

But realise, if you don’t want it bad enough and only ‘kinda’ want it. Or you think ‘that would be nice’, you won’t achieve your goals.

Not just for fat loss & fitness. But anything.

Its as simple as that.

So, the question is… how bad do you want it?

Ben Hanbridge

P.S. If you’re ready to commit to change your body.

Finally change how you look and feel for good.

Then head on over here and apply to work with me for 28 days starting this Monday.

https://www.bodyfitacademy.co.uk

I will give you the exact plan you need to get results faster than you ever thought possible.

Dropping clothes sizes in a matter of weeks is easy when you know how and follow a proven programme.

It’s application ONLY though.

If you want to keep struggling or if you only ‘kinda’ want to get in shape…

Then its definitely NOT for you.

I am sure there are plenty of other trainers out there who will gladly take your money.

But not me.

I expect success from every single one of my clients. Period.

Think you’re different?

Do you 100% want results but don’t think it won’t work for you?

I can’t wait to prove you wrong.

Finally get fit and lose weight

Recently my sleep has been a little messed up.

Well… technically its been the waking up part that has been the problem.

I have had an incredible pain in my leg since Friday. It happens even worse when I try to move around and keep my hips stable.

Pretty much makes the movement of turning over in the middle of the night almost impossible. Without wanting to punch my hand through the wall anyway.

It makes me not want to go to sleep at night.

Because I know I will be waking up multiple times each night and have to battle it.

Last night was a little crazy.

I woke up in the middle of the night after some crazy zombie dream.

It was bizarre.

It was like a film. In fact, after I woke up I had to get up for a pee and on the way back I jotted some stuff down on my whiteboard here in my home office.

I literally have crazy middle-of-the-night jottings here next to me. I will probably turn it into a book or something one day.

Will tell you more about it another day.

Anyway, the injury thing has been on and off for just over 2 years.

It has not been this bad for a while though. Must have aggravated it Friday somehow.

But the thing that scares me is it being the same and being no different (or even worse) this time next year.

And I know people feel the same about how they look or feel about themselves.

Seriously just take a minute…

Imagine how you would feel this time next year having made NO changes to your body. Or even being in a ‘worse’ position than you are now.

Scary, right?

Even thinking a few months ahead is.

Because TIME is the one thing you can’t get back.

I would rather get things sorted now and enjoy myself than feel pissed off and full of regret down the line.

Rather than have a constant battle all my life.

The good news is that you have a choice and are in control.

Ben Hanbridge

P.S. The good news is that if you want help with reaching your goals and making sure your body and confidence is different this time next month to what it is now…

Then I can help.

The bad news is I don’t have my next intake of new clients for a couple of weeks, in fact its not until April 28th.

However, you can apply early for a spot on the bootcamp.

We have morning sessions at 6.15am, and also evening sessions at 6.30pm.

Losing 2 stone in 8 weeks

No idea why, but its a number that keeps cropping up.

2 stone.

People saying that’s what they want to lose.

Spoke to a handful of people in the last week or two who had this VERY goal.

A lot of the time people have some insane time frame for it though. Like wanting to do it in 10 months or something.

Which is pretty slow.

Insanely slow.

Even 10 weeks is kinda a bit too long, never mind 10 MONTHS!

Thats 2.8 pounds per month.

So, 8 weeks is usually about right for that.

I mean, some people will even do it in 6 weeks.

But I typically find that people I work with who have that goal manage around a stone and a clothes size each month (depending on their goals obviously).

So, if you have that goal, you need to make sure you don’t give yourself TOO MUCH time to do it in, otherwise you just leave it and leave it because you think you have loads of time left to do it.

In fact, most people don’t have any time deadline at all. Which is even worse.

Thats why I like this 2 stone in 8 week thing.

In fact, I am even thinking about bringing in a few challenges next month for BFA.

One of them being 2 stone in 8 weeks.

Not everybody will need to drop 2 stone though, so will have other stuff like a jean size in 21 days etc.

But if you want to drop 2 stone and are not part of our Manchester Bootcamp Bodyfit Academy then let me know…

Speak soon

Ben Hanbridge

By the way… Will be giving everybody who is due to start the next programme in 3 weeks some ‘homework’ to do before then.

So everybody can make a start on the nutrition before kicking in the programme on the 28th.

You might even drop 10lbs before we even start!

Register here and let me know if you have a goal of dropping 2 stone.

Chocolate, cookies, cake and cream.

Not sure about you but I find it pretty difficult to steer away from junk food sometimes.

Especially snacks and treats.

I remember the other year when I was in Cornwall I got a small cake from Morrisons..

You know, one of those £3 mini-birthday chocolate cake things.

I didn’t even plan on buying it. Just seen it and had to get it.

Which meant I had no ‘tools’ to eat it.

No plate. No knife. No fork.

Just sat on a bench down the road from the supermarket and eat the whole thing.

Using the card packaging as cutlery.

You can only imagine how difficult it was.

I bet everybody has done something like that before.

Thing is, at the time I didn’t realise that eating healthy can be interesting.

I just presumed that anything healthy had to taste boring.

Not true.

You can make healthy food taste amazing.

Especially stuff like cookies, chocolate, cake etc.

You can make healthy versions of all that.

Some of it even tastes better than the unhealthy versions.

So, big tip from me today is make your healthy food taste amazing and you will find it MUCH easier to stay on track and obviously get better results!

And when you do it for a few weeks and then go back to trying something unhealthy… watch how ILL it makes you feel..

Re: Your Goals

WOW.

I had a wake up call yesterday.

And you’re about to get the same one.

Did you know that 25% of the year has gone already?

Thats means you must be 25% of the way through your goals you had for 2014, right?

Pretty scary thought. I thought so anyway. Mainly because I am not on track.

And I ain’t just talking about health and fitness goals.

WHATEVER your goals are for this year, a quarter of it has gone.

So, that means either one of two things will happen.

Either you carry on at your same rate of achievement and in which case you can multiply your results this year so far by 4 and you get an idea for the year.

Or…

You can change your approach and work hard for the next few months to ‘catch up’ on the missed opportunity for the first quarter of the year.

And remember..

What gets measured gets improved.

Don’t measure your progress… it likely won’t improve.

I Almost Had To Dial 999

Almost had to chop my arm off

Gonna tell you about something I did last week.. but you have to promise you won’t laugh.

I was setting out last week to walk our dog (we have an 8 month or so old Jack Russel).

On the way out of the house I thought I would check the post.

We have one of those external letterbox things that are outside of the house on the wall.

Where you have to open it with a key.

However, the key has never been easy to use since we moved in almost 5 months ago. Its a right pain.

So, clever me had an idea of trying to get the mail out without using the key.

Turns out it wasn’t a great idea.

I shoved my hand in the letterbox and grabbed the mail. But then couldn’t get it back out. It was full on stuck.

Had the dog on the lead in one had pulling me desperate to try and get to the grass for a pee.

And my other hand bent at the craziest angle ever shoved half way down the letterbox (which is at about eye level)…

I am sure you can picture it.

I thought I would have had to dial 999 and get the fire brigade to come and chop the post box off the wall or something with an axe and then chip the box up with an angle grinder.

Or chop my arm off like that dude in saw.

Turns out I managed to wriggle it free after a minute or two of struggle.

I didn’t learn my lesson either.

Done it about 3 times since.

It gets stuck still every time, takes a good 20 seconds of struggle to get it out.

My insanity reminds me of the insanity people have when trying to lose weight and get fit.

Most people try to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result somehow.

At least I know my hand WILL get suck each time. I KNOW what to expect.

Whereas most people just try the same diet and the same workouts that didn’t work the first time and somehow expect it to work insanely well the next.

To get a different result you have to do something different.

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

With that said… I will be getting a new letterbox soon.

I may even record a video of me smashing this old one to pieces.

Its metal so gonna have to hire a sledgehammer or something for the day.
