Are you writing it down?

Just wanted to hit you up with a small but POWERFUL tip today which will help you melt inches of body fat quickly (its probably not what you think).

And the tip is:
Keep a training AND nutrition journal/diary.

Stick with me here.
BECAUSE… Whatever you track you improve.
Just through the simple fact of measuring something it improves – if I get somebody who wants to lose weight to start doing a food diary and change NOTHING else.. they’ll automatically start eating healthier just because they are tracking it.
But more importantly because they tracked it they can easily look at it and see what needs to improve for next week.
Its TOTALLY different writing it down than ‘knowing it in your head’.
I did this a while back for my business with a time diary.
I wanted to get more efficient with my time and cut out stuff I was wasting time on so I kept a time diary for the week for every minute of work stuff I was doing.
I wrote EVERYTHING down for a whole month.

What I did. How long it took.
Again, timing everything alone helped me speed it up and actually not bother with things I knew I was wasting time on.
‘Pissing around on Facebook’ actually went down to ZERO. I just went in, did what I needed to.. then got out.
And again, it helped me be able to look back on the week and see exactly what I was doing and what needed to be improved on etc.
So journal your stuff.
Use a food diary
Or a piece of blank paper.
Or myfitnesspal.
Or take pictures of everything.
Or whatever the hell you want to use. Just use SOMETHING.

Ideally for the next few weeks to help you form new habits.
Long term is better if you can do that, then even better – but can get boring quickly.
But do it for the next few weeks at least.

Don’t worry – our Swinton Bootcamp is still running!

Its been around a week since i’ve emailed out.

Which is quite a while for me.

Especially since I usually try and get a few emails out a week.

Some weeks its DAILY M-F.

But i’ve not hit it up for 7 days.

Friday we were at an antenatal class most of the day in Manchester.

Then weekend (I don’t tend to work weekend except our Saturday AM session).

Then mid-morning Monday I come down with some weird nausea and dizziness that i’m only just shaking off now.

Just getting around to catching up with stuff finally.

I’m not telling you this to fish for any sympathy. But to share with you that sometimes STUFF HAPPENS.

Things don’t go to plan.

Sure, I could have still got my emails out.

A short one.

A pre-scheduled one for days I was just ‘too busy’.

Thats another lesson in itself for another day.

But the main point is that i’m back to it now.

And I DIDN’T LET IT IMPACT EVERYTHING ELSE.

^^^ what do I mean by that?

Far too often I see people fall off the wagon and then DESTROY their progress.

They slip up and eat some junk, and so ‘write off’ the whole day, or even WEEK.

Just because I didn’t send out my emails I didn’t go crazy and destroy my whole business, did I?

No, you just pick up where you left off.

Now i’m 100% back on track after sending this.

Just like you can be 100% back on track after having a healthy meal and doing a workout after falling off the wagon a little.

So just think next time about containing the slip up and not letting it escalate.

How DARE They! – They gave me a negative review! Bootcamp Swinton

The other day I was browsing around my Facebook page for Bodyfit Academy, which is our bootcamp in Swinton..

And I realised that I had a 4.3 star rating from the reviews our of a possible 5 stars.

Sure, thats pretty good.

But it pissed me off because all expect 3 ratings were 5 stars.

3 ratings has dragged me down from a solid across-the-board 5 down to an average of 4.3.

The first was a 1 star rating from a guy, who appears to be in his 60’s from Iran. He has NEVER even done the programme.

Kinda sucks Facebook let people drop a review on your page that have never been a part of a business.

The second was a 1 star rating from a girl who has also never done my programme.

And the third was a 3 star rating from a past client from a few years ago. Meh. Not too sure what got her knickers in a twist. At least it was 3 stars and not 1.

Anyway, the rest of the reviews so far are all 5 stars.

You can check some of them out below in the images…

From our guys only programme: www.bodyfitacademy.co.uk/guys6week

And our women only programme: www.bodyfitacademy.co.uk

Check out this feedback! Bodyfit Academy Reviews.

Read this.

On Monday I posted in our Bodyfit Academy clients-only Private Facebook group just asking for some feedback from our members to see WHY they came to our group vs any other ‘weight loss’ solution out there.

Have a read through what some of them had to say (I’ve blurred out names as it was posted in our private members only group – while i’m sure they would all be cool with me sharing this i’m kinda lazy and its quicker to blur than to check).

Its a long image so might show up pretty small – hopefully you can click the image and ZOOM in, otherwise you can view the image by clicking here.

And for any guys reading this.. you’ll still get some insight and benefit from reading what the ladies had to say.

The guys only group is the same programme. Just its 2x per week instead of 3 as its alternate days.
I hope that you enjoyed reading some of the things there as I know some people are a little scared to take the plunge and apply for our group.

But I can assure you that the group is full of AMAZING people.

Some who have been coming a long time. Some who have been here a month or two. And some who are brand new, like you.

And just in case you missed my email the other day on Wednesday… here it is again:

=======================

Today I’m doing something I hardly ever do.

If you’ve been getting my emails for a while (or read some of them that i’ve posted up on here more recently) then you know by now I send out emails that contain “infotainment”.
I’ll put in a little lesson, tip or bit of value, alongside some entertainment. With a ‘next step’ for those who want more help.
I don’t often just sent out “buy my shit” emails that are nothing but promotional.
But today I have a straight up pitch for you.
Because I know how great our programmes are and how much they help people. I know i’m bias, but ask any of our members or people who have done our programme and they’ll tell you.

Finally get fit and lose weight

Recently my sleep has been a little messed up.

Well… technically its been the waking up part that has been the problem.

I have had an incredible pain in my leg since Friday. It happens even worse when I try to move around and keep my hips stable.

Pretty much makes the movement of turning over in the middle of the night almost impossible. Without wanting to punch my hand through the wall anyway.

It makes me not want to go to sleep at night.

Because I know I will be waking up multiple times each night and have to battle it.

Last night was a little crazy.

I woke up in the middle of the night after some crazy zombie dream.

It was bizarre.

It was like a film. In fact, after I woke up I had to get up for a pee and on the way back I jotted some stuff down on my whiteboard here in my home office.

I literally have crazy middle-of-the-night jottings here next to me. I will probably turn it into a book or something one day.

Will tell you more about it another day.

Anyway, the injury thing has been on and off for just over 2 years.

It has not been this bad for a while though. Must have aggravated it Friday somehow.

But the thing that scares me is it being the same and being no different (or even worse) this time next year.

And I know people feel the same about how they look or feel about themselves.

Seriously just take a minute…

Imagine how you would feel this time next year having made NO changes to your body. Or even being in a ‘worse’ position than you are now.

Scary, right?

Even thinking a few months ahead is.

Because TIME is the one thing you can’t get back.

I would rather get things sorted now and enjoy myself than feel pissed off and full of regret down the line.

Rather than have a constant battle all my life.

The good news is that you have a choice and are in control.

P.S. The good news is that if you want help with reaching your goals and making sure your body and confidence is different this time next month to what it is now…

Then I can help.

The bad news is I don’t have my next intake of new clients for a couple of weeks, in fact its not until April 28th.

However, you can apply early for a spot on the bootcamp.

We have morning sessions at 6.15am, and also evening sessions at 6.30pm.

Losing 2 stone in 8 weeks

No idea why, but its a number that keeps cropping up.

2 stone.

People saying that’s what they want to lose.

Spoke to a handful of people in the last week or two who had this VERY goal.

A lot of the time people have some insane time frame for it though. Like wanting to do it in 10 months or something.

Which is pretty slow.

Insanely slow.

Even 10 weeks is kinda a bit too long, never mind 10 MONTHS!

Thats 2.8 pounds per month.

So, 8 weeks is usually about right for that.

I mean, some people will even do it in 6 weeks.

But I typically find that people I work with who have that goal manage around a stone and a clothes size each month (depending on their goals obviously).

So, if you have that goal, you need to make sure you don’t give yourself TOO MUCH time to do it in, otherwise you just leave it and leave it because you think you have loads of time left to do it.

In fact, most people don’t have any time deadline at all. Which is even worse.

Thats why I like this 2 stone in 8 week thing.

In fact, I am even thinking about bringing in a few challenges next month for BFA.

One of them being 2 stone in 8 weeks.

Not everybody will need to drop 2 stone though, so will have other stuff like a jean size in 21 days etc.

But if you want to drop 2 stone and are not part of our Manchester Bootcamp Bodyfit Academy then let me know…

Ben Hanbridge

By the way… Will be giving everybody who is due to start the next programme in 3 weeks some ‘homework’ to do before then.

So everybody can make a start on the nutrition before kicking in the programme on the 28th.

You might even drop 10lbs before we even start!

Register here and let me know if you have a goal of dropping 2 stone.

Chocolate, cookies, cake and cream.

Not sure about you but I find it pretty difficult to steer away from junk food sometimes.

Especially snacks and treats.

I remember the other year when I was in Cornwall I got a small cake from Morrisons..

You know, one of those £3 mini-birthday chocolate cake things.

I didn’t even plan on buying it. Just seen it and had to get it.

Which meant I had no ‘tools’ to eat it.

No plate. No knife. No fork.

Just sat on a bench down the road from the supermarket and eat the whole thing.

Using the card packaging as cutlery.

You can only imagine how difficult it was.

I bet everybody has done something like that before.

Thing is, at the time I didn’t realise that eating healthy can be interesting.

I just presumed that anything healthy had to taste boring.

Not true.

You can make healthy food taste amazing.

Especially stuff like cookies, chocolate, cake etc.

You can make healthy versions of all that.

Some of it even tastes better than the unhealthy versions.

So, big tip from me today is make your healthy food taste amazing and you will find it MUCH easier to stay on track and obviously get better results!

And when you do it for a few weeks and then go back to trying something unhealthy… watch how ILL it makes you feel..
